About the Product
AQ Primer 01 is a two-component solvent-based epoxy primer designed as the supporting material for polyurea coatings. It demonstrates excellent permeability and strong adhesion to both new and old concrete substrates, providing a reliable bonding layer between polyurea and concrete. Additionally, it can be combined with quartz sand or powder for surface repair and reinforcement
Where To Use
- Suitable for concrete substrates such as bridges, workshops, playgrounds, and other concrete structures.
- Can also be applied to other non-concrete substrates (consult technical engineer).
- Acts as a sealing layer to reduce bubbles and pinholes in polyurea coatings.
- Provides chemical bonding with polyurea for enhanced adhesion
Product Features
- Low viscosity, strong penetration, excellent adhesion with concrete.
- Effective sealing against moisture, minimizing surface defects.
- Compatible with quartz sand for surface repair.
- Substrate requirements: clean, repaired, polished; strength ≥ C25; moisture ≤ 6%.
- Construction environment: 5–35°C; substrate temperature ≥ 5°C higher than air; humidity 30–80%; avoid strong wind.
Recommended Usage
As primer only: 0.15 – 0.25 kg/m²
With quartz sand: 0.3 – 1.0 kg/m²
